Clifford Chance advised Textron Inc., Providence, Rhode Island (USA), and its subsidiary Cessna Aircraft Company, Wichita, Kansas (USA), on their acquisition of Jet Aviation's maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities at the international airports of Düsseldorf, Germany, and Zurich, Switzerland. The parties have agreed to maintain the purchase price confidential.
Textron Inc. has approximately 33,000 employees in 25 countries. The Textron group comprises avionics and flight engineering businesses. Textron purchased Cessna Aircraft Company, a manufacturer of single and twin engine aircrafts and business jets, back in1992.
Jet Aviation with its headquarters in Basel is an international business aviation service company, ultimately owned by General Dynamics. It has facilities at 26 airports in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North and South America.
