McDermott Will & Emery advised B Futura, a platform for infrastructure development of the Italian football league, as well as the Cagliari Football Club in connection with the project financing of a new EUR 55m football arena of Cagliari.

The project has been approved by the City Council of the Municipality of Cagliari and is a part of the local urban regeneration programme which is to be completed by 2019/2020. The 21.000-seat new arena will be eligible for the UEFA 4 certification and will therefore be able to host Champions and Europe League matches, as well as European championships and the Olympics.
