ROME (20 March, 2017) –McDermott Will & Emery represented Pessina Costruzioni, one of the major Italian construction companies, in connection with the concession agreement for a new Velodrome in the municipality of Spresiano (Treviso).

The project involves the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a new multi-purpose facility. The Velodrome, with an overall investment of €29m and a capacity of 6,000 seats, is the largest of this kind in Italy and will be designed in compliance with the world championship and Olympic games international technical standards. The Italian National Cycling Federation acted as awarding authority and grantor.

The McDermott team advising on this complex transaction was led by project finance partner Marco Cerritelli and associates Valentina Perrone and Anna Vesco.

Marco’s team has extensive experience in advising developers, contractors, financiers and public sector authorities in the realization of social infrastructure and sports related assets. The team is currently involved in the development of several new football arenas in municipalities of Cagliari, Pescara, Crotone, Vicenza, Bassano, Avellino and Lampedusa.
