PARTNER MOVES - Linklaters appoints Peter Golden to lead its UK trusts practice

03 Mar 2016

Linklaters has hired Peter Golden as a partner, leading the firm’s trusts practice. Peter will be based in London and joined the firm on 29 February 2016.

Peter was previously a partner at Forsters LLP, where his work consisted of advising a variety of private clients in trusts, tax, wills and probate law.

Matthew Middleditch, Linklaters’ global head of corporate, said:

“Peter is highly experienced in establishing trusts for UK and offshore individuals and assists in the ongoing management of clients’ assets, affairs and estates. I am excited about the breath of fresh air he will bring to the trusts practice at Linklaters.”

Linklaters’ longstanding trusts practice has its origins in private client work.

The firm’s experience includes developing a novel trust structure for a nuclear decommissioning fund; establishing an orphan structure to pool funds used for consumer redress relating to credit card insurance; personal tax and estate planning; advising individuals and trustees on the creation, administration and taxation of trusts, both onshore and offshore; contributing to the firm’s pro bono offering.
