PARTNER MOVES - WFW Boosts Paris offering with Key Partner Hire

07 Apr 2016

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that Arnaud Troizier joined its Paris Energy & Infrastructure team as a partner on 4 April 2016.

A specialist in public business law, Arnaud’s practice focuses on contracts, public ownership and public-private partnerships (including contract projects) at both the competitive bid stage and the implementation phase, and the restructuring/disposal of such projects. He regularly advises industrial groups, banks, investors and public bodies on the development of projects involving transport, energy and building infrastructure, as well as communication networks, both in France and overseas.

Arnaud will work closely with Laurent Battoue, head of WFW’s Paris public business law practice, as with all other Paris partners, to strengthen the links between the infrastructure practice and WFW sectors of expertise including transport (maritime, aviation and rail), energy & natural resources and real estate. In addition, his experience advising on numerous transactions in Africa will only serve to enhance the Paris office’s practice in that region of increasing importance to the firm’s clients.

Most recently, Arnaud worked for four years at De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés, becoming a partner in January 2016. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand before moving to Clifford Chance and Hogan Lovells. A graduate of Science Po Paris (economic and financial studies), he also holds a post-graduate diploma in public economic law from the University of Paris.

Arnaud commented: “I am delighted to be joining WFW. Not only does the firm have a worldwide reputation for excellence in its sector of focus, but our practices also naturally complement each other. It is an incredibly dynamic environment and the variety of ongoing projects opens up some very exciting opportunities in France and Africa in particular”.

Laurence Martinez-Bellet, the Paris office Managing Partner, added: “Arnaud’s experience on such a variety of infrastructure projects in both France and Africa, fits naturally and neatly into the Paris office’s development strategy and will be a real asset for our clients who do business in France and internationally”.
