Leading international law firm SJ Berwin has advised asset manager Intermediate Capital Group plc (ICG) and its affiliated funds on the acquisition of Inenco Group, the energy division of EnServe Group, the energy and utility outsourcing business owned by Cinven.
Inenco Group was sold to funds managed by Intermediate Capital Group along with independent private equity firm Vitruvian Partners LLP and management.
Intermediate Capital Group Plc is a specialist asset manager with €12.9 billion under management, covering Europe, Asia Pacific and North America via local offices in ten countries. Assets are managed through private debt, mezzanine, credit and minority equity funds.
Inenco Group is a market leader in strategic energy management procurement and risk management services, managing approximately £3.3 billion of energy spend for more than 800 corporate, 8,000 small to medium sized enterprises and 150 public sector clients across 67,000 sites and 106,000 gas and electricity meters.
The SJ Berwin team was led by Corporate partner Andrew Wingfield and Finance Partner Robert Andrews together with Stephen Pevsner, Gregg Beechey, Adam Runcorn, George Murphy, Colin Baker, Hannah O'Connor, Thomas Manjaly, Stanislav Shishkin and Lauren Bretton.
In addition, Finance Partner Chris Fanner advised HSBC on the super senior financing.
