Baker & McKenzie Advises On Beacon Lighting IPO

17 Mar 2014

Baker & McKenzie is acting for Beacon Lighting on its initial public offering. The deal, which will issue a 45 percent shareholding, values the lighting business at AUD142 million.

The Baker & McKenzie team is being led by corporate, Melbourne-based partner Richard Lustig. He is assisted by Eliza McDonald, Rick Troiano and Frank Castiglia.

Lustig said, “As predicted late last year, Australia’s IPO market is off to a nice start in 2014. We’ve seen a number of IPOs come through in this first quarter and we should see a few more in the next. I’m delighted to have advised Beacon Lighting, an iconic Australian brand, on its growth strategy.”

Beacon Lighting originated in Melbourne in 1967 and has since grown to 71 stores and 14 franchises around Australia.
