Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has advised RWE Innogy on the terms for the sale of a 10 per cent share in the Gwynt y Mor offshore wind farm to UK Green Investment Bank. The sale will close when the construction of Gwynt y Mor is completed, expected to be towards the end of 2014.
Gwynt y Mor is a greater than £2 billion offshore windfarm on schedule to become fully operational in 2014, when it will be capable of generating enough energy from renewable sources to power the equivalent of approximately 400,000 homes, around third of the total number of homes in all of Wales.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by corporate, M&A and securities partner Stephen Rigby and included associate Keith Law, energy partners Nick Pincott and Andrew Hedges, associate Suncica Miletic, senior associate Tim Baines, and tax partner Matthew Hodkin and of counsel Ed Denny.
