07 Nov 2014

The Wilmington office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Lisa R. Stark as a partner in its corporate/M&A practice. Stark joins K&L Gates from National Corporate Research, Ltd., where she served as in-house counsel.

A recognized leader in the Delaware General Corporation Law, Stark advises boards of directors, board committees, and significant stakeholders on their fiduciary and statutory obligations and corporate governance matters. She also has extensive experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, venture capital investments, debt and equity financings, proxy contests, and initial public offerings.

Stark is chair of the American Bar Association’s Private Equity and Venture Capital Jurisprudence subcommittee and an author or co-author of numerous publications, including a chapter in The Corporate Governance Review, Law Business Research (2012).

“Lisa is extremely knowledgeable on Delaware corporate matters arising under the Delaware General Corporation Law,” said Scott E. Waxman, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ Wilmington office. “With Lisa’s arrival to complement our current market leadership in Delaware alternative entity matters, our Wilmington office takes the first of many steps forward, and K&L Gates clients across the globe now have additional corporate skills and experience at their fingertips.”
