FPS advised the Belgian company REIT Aedifica on the acquisition of three special purpose companies in Luxembourg that own eight nursing homes in Germany. With this acquisition, the German portfolio of Aedifica now comprises 13 nursing homes worth more than €100 million.

The newly acquired portfolio comprises eight nursing homes in North-Rhine Westphalia and Lower Saxony, with a total of 642 beds. This increases Aedifica's total capacity in Germany to 1,135 beds. Three of the eight nursing homes are operated directly by Residenz-Gruppe Bremen through its subsidiary Senioren Wohnpark Weser. The other five nursing homes are subleased by Residenz-Gruppe Bremen to other, local operators.

The total purchase price for the acquisition was more than €60 million. FPS performed the legal due diligence review, negotiated the terms of the transaction, and drafted the contract documentation for Aedifica.

Other investments are currently under review.
