DLA Piper and Hogan Lovells have both advised on the sale of the Hotel Intercontinental Paris - Le Grand, part of the Intercontinental Hotels Group property (IHG), to Constellation.
Situated close to the Paris Opéra, the hotel - which has 470 rooms, including 70 Napoleon III style suites - was opened in 1862 and has operated under the InterContinental brand for nearly 30 years. As part of a plan to reduce its asset portfolio, the UK hotel group has accepted a €300 million acquisition offer from Constellation but will continue to manage the hotel for the next 30 years.
IHG was advised by DLA Piper with Sarmad Haidar as lead partner, together with Bijan Eghbal, Stéphanie Schindler, Lionel Rosenfeld, Guillaume Nassif, Cécile Szymanski, Marie Hindré-Guéguen, and Fayrouze Masmi-Dazi. IHG's in-house team was led by Daisy Llewellyn, assisted by Ingrid Waldman, Laurence Wilkinson and Anna Pack.
The Constellation group was advised advised by Hogan Lovells, with Jean-Marc Franceschi leading the team. He was assisted by Corinne Knopp, Franck Jurquet, Julie Poulet, Pierre de Montalembert, Anna Kellner, Michel Quéré and Sophie Lok.
