Simmons & Simmons has advised a Danish investor on the disposal of a 40 megawatt Windpark in Zölkow, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to RheinEnergie.

Commenting on the transaction, partner Stephan Ulrich said: ‘‘We were pleased to assist in this transaction which further demonstrates the strength of our position and the renewables experience of our M&A team.’’

The Simmons & Simmons team was led by Stephan Ulrich, a partner in the firm’s corporate mergers and acquisitions team in Dusseldorf, who regularly advises the Danish investors in relation to their projects in Germany and Europe.

Other members of the team involved in the transaction include corporate/M&A associates Matthias von Holten and Nuray Karaca.
