Macfarlanes acts for 17Capital on raising €500M third fund

20 Jan 2015

Macfarlanes has advised investment firm 17Capital LLP on the raising of its third fund (17Capital Fund 3), which closed above target with commitments of €500m

This new fund will continue the established and distinct investment strategy of 17Capital’s predecessor funds by providing highly-flexible preferred equity to private equity investors.

17Capital Fund 3 closed just a few months after being launched in the summer of 2014, and exceeded the targeted fund size of €450 million. 95 per cent of 17Capital’s investors from previous funds participated in this new fund.

The Macfarlanes team comprised of funds partners Christopher Good and Bridget Barker, with tax partner Mark Baldwin also advising.

Christopher Good commented: "17Capital is a longstanding client of the firm and we are delighted to have been able to help on this latest fundraise".
