DLA Piper has advised the wind turbine producer Senvion SE (formerly REpower Systems SE) on its sale by the Suzlon Group to the private equity investor Centerbridge Partners.
Senvion is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of onshore and offshore wind turbines. The internationally operating engineering company develops, produces and distributes wind turbines for almost every location. In addition to this, Senvion supplies its customers with project-specific solutions from the fields of plant construction, service and maintenance, transport and installation as well as foundation design. With more than 3,400 employees worldwide, Senvion can draw on its extensive experience of having constructed and installed more than 5,800 wind turbines.
