Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has today announced the appointment of David Johnson as a US capital markets/corporate partner in its Hong Kong office.
David has worked in Hong Kong for over 20 years. He joins from K&L Gates where he has been a partner since 2013. He was previously a partner at Allen & Overy for 11 years and, prior to that, an associate and Special Counsel at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton for 10 years in New York and Hong Kong.
David will lead the US securities team in Asia, which currently includes Of Counsels Allan Yee and Harold Tin. He will build the practice in debt and equity capital markets and will be focusing on South East Asia in particular.
David has advised on transactions involving clients throughout Asia and his clients have included corporates, sovereign issuers and investment banks. He represents them in a variety of debt, equity and equity linked capital markets transactions, including Rule 144A and Regulation S transactions, SEC registered offerings and other corporate transactions, including tender and exchange offers, reorganisations, acquisitions and privatisations.
