DLA Piper announced today that Anthony Newton and Arthur Howard have joined the firm’s Corporate practice as partners in the Houston office. Newton and Howard focus their practices on energy and infrastructure projects and transactions, including general corporate, M&A, restructuring and recapitalization, and venture capital and private equity, among others. Newton works closely with oil field services companies while Howard also advises clients in other industries such as chemicals, offshore marine design and engineering, healthcare, technology, retail, and food and beverage.

Both lawyers join DLA Piper from K&L Gates. Newton received his LLM from Georgetown University Law Center, his J.D. from the University of Houston, and his B.S. from Texas A&M University. Howard received his J.D. from the University of Arkansas and his B.S. from Northeastern State University.
