Dentons’ real estate team acted as legal counsel to Union Investment on the acquisition of the Focus Park shopping center in Rybnik, a Polish city close to the Czech border. The seller was Aviva Investors Polish Retail S.a.r.L.

The shopping complex comprises approximately 74 retail units and a cinema across 17,846 sq.m. of space and is almost fully let following recent new lettings. The long-established Focus Park center welcomes 5.5 million visitors a year and has a catchment area of approximately 640,000 people. Tenants include international and Polish chains, such as C&A, Rossmann drugstore, Alma, Empik and New Yorker.
