Noerr has advised the Hamburg-based internet company Jimdo concerning the investment by the U.S. venture capital specialist Spectrum Equity Fund. In its first investment in the German market Spectrum is investing EUR 25 million. Jimdo is valued at EUR 100 million.
Jimdo will use the fresh capital for funding its further growth and investing in the development of its products. Jimdo offers a model kit and services for the creation of websites. More than 15 million online presences have already been set up with Jimdo. The company, which was founded in 2007 and is still run by Christian Springub, Fridtjof Detzner and Matthias Henze, is thus one of the industry leaders and today has locations also in San Francisco and Tokyo.
