Hengeler Mueller advises TenneT on acquisition of net Veltheim

TenneT has (previous share 66.67%) and Stadtwerke Bielefeld (previous share 33.33%) announced the acquisition of the network of E.ON Kraftwerke GmbH Veltheim on July 3, 2015. Power Veltheim is a power distribution system operators in the region of East Westphalia-Lippe.

TenneT will acquire a 220 kV high-voltage grid with a total length of about 180 km. The purchase also includes areas of substations Bielefeld-Ost, Meissen, location and Veltheim and the substations Eickum, Bechterdissen and Grohnde. By purchasing TenneT ensures the future operation and maintenance of the East Westphalian transmission network from a single source.
