Macfarlanes has advised Alcuin Capital Partners LLP on the raising of its fourth fund, The Fourth Alcuin Fund Limited Partnership, which closed at its hard cap with commitments of £150m.
This new fund will continue the established strategy of Alcuin Capital’s predecessor funds by making growth capital investments and supporting management buy-outs in smaller-middle market companies based in the UK.
The Macfarlanes team was led by investment management partner Alex Amos, who comments: “This was an efficient fundraise for Alcuin Capital who was able to capitalise on its track record and exciting portfolio of well-known brand names. We are delighted to have advised on this.”
Tax advice was provided by partner James McCredie.
