Osborne Clarke has advised digital agency AKOM360 GmbH on the takeover by media communication agency Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG). AKOM360 headquartered in Munich with further branches in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Hamburg provides comprehensive digital marketing services amongst others in the area mobile marketing, app-development, SEO und social media.
As part of the SMG network, the agency will continue to operate under its brand “AKOM360”. The current managers Curt Simon Harlinghausen and Sven Lackmann will continue to head the agency. Additionally, Harlinghausen will be named Chief Digital Officer EMEA of SMG.
The Osborne Clarke team that advised on the takeover was led by Corporate Partner Dr Martin Sundermann who was assisted by Associate Natalie Zag (corporate) and Partner Dr Thomas Leister (employment law).
