Monsanto has announced that it abandoned its unsolicited approach to acquire Syngenta for an amount in excess of USD 45 billion. Bär & Karrer advised Syngenta on its defense with respect to Swiss law.

The team was led by Rolf Watter and included Dieter Dubs and Mariel Hoch.
