DLA Piper represents Docea Power SAS in acquisition by Intel

01 Sep 2015

DLA Piper represented Docea Power SAS, a leading provider of virtual prototyping solutions, in its acquisition by Intel Corp., an American multinational technology company and the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer.

In a statement, Intel said the acquisition of Docea Power will elevate its expertise and service offerings in modeling and optimizing the thermal behavior and power consumption of electronic systems.

Partners Louis Lehot and Victoria Lee, both of Silicon Valley, led the DLA Piper team involved in the transaction. The team also included associates Torrie C. Nute and SeoJung Park in Silicon Valley, and Cathryn Le Regulski, of counsel, in Northern Virginia.

Docea Power develops and commercializes solutions for enabling faster and more reliable power and thermal modeling. The company is headquartered near Grenoble, France, and in San Jose, CA.

DLA Piper’s global platform and deep M&A and technology industry experience allows the firm to execute cross border deals seamlessly while also supporting clients across all stages of a transaction. Last year, according to mergermarket’s league tables for legal advisors, DLA Piper again earned the No. 1 ranking globally for overall deal volume.
