08 Sep 2015

In the first season of the television show “Die Höhle der Löwen”, (The Lions` Den), Jochen Schweizer, an entrepreneur and investor agreed to accept two young entrepreneurs and their business model “Hip Trips”. Since the broadcast of the show, the Jochen Schweizer group  has acquired shares in the newly founded Hip Trips GmbH, in which the entrepreneurs based their business operations. King & Wood Mallesons advised the Jochen Schweizer group on this investment.

Hip Trips is a tour operator with an online-travel-platform, providing individual travel programs. The emphasis is not only on the destination, but also the experience itself. The product portfolio ranges from action weekends with Bungee Jumping to film journeys on the trail of Harry Potter to romantic trips with candle light dinner.

“Die Höhle der Löwen”, (the Lions` Den), is a German TV program providing a platform for individuals with creative business ideas. These are introduced to a panel of five successful entrepreneurs, the so called lions (“Löwen”). Jochen Schweizer, being one of them, decided to support the Hip Trips business idea financially. The second season of “Die Höhle der Löwen”, (the Lions`s Den) began in August 2015.
