Charles Russell Speechlys has advised the Civica Group (an investee company of OMERS Private Equity) on its acquisition of Web Technologies Group (WTG), the software consultancy and services group.

Based in London, WTG specialises in planning, building and managing complex, secure web applications and digital services for government and other public sector clients. Customers include the Home Office, Ministry of Justice, Department of Health, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Government Digital Service, the College of Policing and the National Crime Agency.

The company is helping to progress the Government’s digital strategy, including adoption of agile processes, it has an established position on G-Cloud and Digital Services frameworks and this month secured the largest contract award under the latter in a £9 million agreement with the Home Office.
