In the successful German TV program “Die Höhle der Löwen”, (the Lions` Den), the entrepreneurs Jochen Schweizer and Lencke Steiner decided to participate in BABO Beverages GmbH. This exceptional start-up company from Freising, situated close to Munich, aims to conquer the European market with its mixed beer beverage, “BABO BLUE”. The beverage consists of 60% beer and 40% berry lemonade. It will be financed with more than €100.000. KWM advised both investors in the context with their participation in BABO Beverages GmbH.
BABO Beverages GmbH was founded by five students of the TU München-Weihenstephan in February this year. The production of “BABO BLUE” is carried out on a large scale in accordance with the latest standards of the beverage industry. The blue mixed beer beverage with the taste of blueberries, blackberries and black currants was created in a college dorm room. “BABO BLUE” is available at German wholesale stores such as “REWE” and “Metro”.
“Die Höhle der Löwen”, (the Lions` Den), is a German TV program providing a platform for individuals with creative business ideas. These ideas are introduced to a panel of five successful entrepreneurs, the so called lions (“Löwen”). Jochen Schweizer and Lencke Steiner, being two of the lions, decided to financially support the BABO BLUE business idea.
