Davis Polk Advises BBVA on $1 Billion SEC-Registered Debt Offering

Davis Polk advised Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. on the SEC-registered offering by Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. of $1 billion principal amount of 3.000% fixed-rate senior notes due 2020. The notes will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

BBVA is a diversified international financial group, with strengths in the traditional banking businesses of retail banking, asset management, private banking and wholesale banking. It also has a portfolio of investments in some of Spain’s leading companies. BBVA, which operates in over 31 countries, is based in Spain and has substantial banking interests in Latin America, the United States, Europe and Turkey. It had consolidated assets of approximately €669 billion at June 30, 2015.
