Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW“) has advised Banco Popolare Soc. Coop. in relation to the financing of Alessandria Calore S.r.l., a joint venture between Ente Gestione Energia e Ambiente S.p.A. and Compagnia Italiana Energia S.p.A., a Gruppo Gavio’s company. The funds will finance the construction and operation of a thermal power plant fuelled by natural gas.

The thermal plant, with an aggregate capacity of approximately 24 MW, will be connected to both a district heating network and the electric grid on lands owned by the Municipality of Alessandria in Piedmont (Northern Italy).

WFW’s team was led by Francesco Dialti, partner of the Milan office, with the support of the trainee Federico Tropeano and, for tax aspects, of the counsel Giuseppe Franch.
