KIRKBI A/S (KIRKBI), the holding and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen Family and owners of The LEGO Group, has joined forces with Blackstone to acquire Armacell, a leading global high-tech insulation firm, from Charterhouse Capital Partners. Hogan Lovells has acted as legal adviser to KIRKBI in the transaction, which is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016.

The deal was run out of Hogan Lovells' Hamburg and London offices.
