Shearman & Sterling Advises Underwriters in American Tower Corporation’s $1.25 Billion Senior Notes Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented BNP PARIBAS, BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley as lead underwriters in connection with offerings of $750 million aggregate principal amount of 3.300% senior notes due 2021 and $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.400% senior notes due 2026.

American Tower Corporation is a leading independent owner, operator and developer of wireless and broadcast communications real estate with a portfolio of over 99,000 communications sites, including wireless and broadcast towers located in the United States, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany, Ghana, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, South Africa and Uganda. American Tower Corporation plans to use the proceeds to repay existing indebtedness, including under its senior unsecured revolving credit facility entered into in June 2013, and for general corporate purposes.
