DLA Piper represents CustomInk in acquisition of technology company Represent

08 Feb 2016

DLA Piper advised CustomInk, a Fairfax, Virginia-based custom T-shirt company, in its acquisition of Represent, a Los Angeles-based technology company. The acquisition will allow CustomInk users to create and sell custom merchandise with no upfront costs.

The Represent platform was developed in 2014 to help users develop custom merchandise using a design tool, and then sell the products using a crowd-funding model. All products are printed to order and delivered directly to customers from the company's manufacturing facility.

CustomInk and Represent will integrate their supply chains and other aspects of their operations and technology. Represent will continue to operate under its own brand name out of its offices in Los Angeles and Prague.
The DLA Piper team was led by partners Eric Grossman (Northern Virginia), Tom Hendershot (Northern Virginia) and David Plewa (Silicon Valley) and associate Cara Hupprich (Northern Virginia).
