Wierzbowski Eversheds is pleased to advise Roma Gasiorowska (a famous Polish actress) and her future partners in founding a company and raising funds for the operations of W-arte! Open Art Space-a contemporary interdisciplinary artistic and educational platform.
The firm’s advice includes preparation of the articles of association and the rules for investing in the company’s shares, as well as regulatory issues surrounding crowdfunding for the project. The work of the lawyers is headed by Ewa Szlachetka, a partner at Wierzbowski Eversheds.
W-arte! Open Art Space will fill a creative niche in the cultural environment of Warsaw. It will be open to the public, including commercial activity and events, while offering programs of a high standard. It will encompass all forms of artistic expression: theatre, music, fashion, design, painting, sculpture, drawings, graphics, illustration, photography and film. One of the goals of the venture is to promote young talent and set new trends. Soon audiences at W-arte! Open Art Space will be able to attend theatre and music performances, cabaret, and shows by DJs.
The activity of W-arte! will be based on an existing business model. The acting school led by Roma Gasiorowska and Art House at Soho Factory will be expanded to include a bistro with a performance stage and a concept store featuring collections by Polish and foreign fashion designers.
According to Roma Gasiorowska, initiator of the venture, “One of my biggest dreams has come true! Now I have huge hopes that I can share with everyone around my passion for combining various fields of art in the creative and educational field. I have been preparing for the W-arte! project over the past three years. I drew up the plan and prepared the people to work on the project. Now I’m ready to launch the venture on a European and even global level.”
The pre-opening party for W-arte! Open Art Space was held on 25 February 2016 at Soho Factory in Warsaw.
