Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Enertronica S.p.A., an Italian listed company active in the energy sector in Italy and around the world, on the acquisition of 70 per cent of the corporate capital of Sertum Energy Namibia (Proprietary) Limited (Sertum Namibia). Sertum Namibia owns the rights to build, connect and operate a 6 MWp solar plant at Trekkopje, Erongo Region, in Namibia.

The solar park will be the first one built in Namibia under the Renewable Energy Feed in Tariff (REFIT) Programme and will be fully operative and connected to the grid by the end of 2016. This investment falls within Enertronica’s multi-year development and industrial consolidation plan in the Sub-Saharan Africa region, where the company has been active since 2012.

The Norton Rose Fulbright team for Enertronica was led by Luigi Costa, banking and energy senior associate based in Milan, who commented:
