DLA Piper advises Bromford Industries on its sale to Liberty Hall Capital partners

22 Mar 2016

DLA Piper has advised Bromford Industries (Bromford), a leading supplier of complex, close tolerance engine components, fabrications and assemblies and landing gear components for the global aerospace and power generation industries, on its acquisition by Liberty Hall Capital partners (Liberty Hall) for an undisclosed amount.

Liberty Hall is a private equity firm focused exclusively on investments in businesses serving the global aerospace and defence industry and complementary industrial end markets. Through the acquisition, Bromford will serve as the foundational asset for its newest strategy, to build a diversified engine component supplier to the global aerospace and power generation industries through organic investments and strategic acquisitions.

Tim Lake, Birmingham-based Corporate partner at DLA Piper said: "This merger highlights the continued growth of the aerospace sector, particularly around innovation and fuel efficiency. It's success reflects the shared ambition of both companies to build a fully-integrated component supplier and their passion for quality, excellence and customer service."

The DLA Piper team was led by Tim Lake along with Corporate partners Jim Lavery and senior associate Robert Newman, in the Birmingham Corporate team.
