London—Dentons has assisted Kier Property in securing consent for the Reading Gateway scheme. Reading Borough Council granted permission for the redevelopment of the former Hewlett Packard site at Worton Grange in April 2016.
Dentons assisted Kier in securing consent for the scheme – which will deliver 175 homes, a hotel and light industrial, trade counter space with an end value of circa £75 million – alongside Savills.
Kevin Dixon, director for Kier Property, commented, "Dentons has been a thorough and professional partner to work with, and has helped Kier Property to secure a S106 planning agreement and an implementable planning permission for this important regeneration project, which will deliver new commercial and leisure space, as well as much needed new housing, for Worton Grange."
Roy Pinnock, partner in the Planning and Public Law team, led the planning work for Dentons with partner Miriam Best and associate Alison Spender assisting Kier with the property acquisition.
