Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised a consortium of construction and engineering companies in relation to the project financing of a convention center, the “Ahoy” arena and the surrounding area of Zuidplein, Rotterdam.
The consortium comprises Ballast Nedam and Heijmans, supported by 3i Infrastructure. N.V. Bank Nederlandse Gemeenten provided a facility for the purpose of building a swimming pool, venue halls, an art building, a congress center and a music hall. Construction of the site will take place between 2016 and 2043 and is valued at approximately €200 million.
The Norton Rose Fulbright infrastructure team in Amsterdam was led by partner Daphne Broerse advising on the project documentation, with assistance from senior associate Bart Vis and associate Annemarie Creutzberg. Partner Wouter Hertzberger led on the financing aspects with assistance from associate Henry Palmen.
