Sidley advised an affiliate of H.I.G. Capital European Partners LP on its entry into a share purchase agreement with Bauer Media Group relating to the disposal of Zmarta Group. Closing of the transaction is subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions, including approval from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, and is estimated to occur in September/October 2016.

The Zmarta Group is a leading fintech marketplace in Northern Europe offering a broad range of personal financial services to consumers, including personal loans, insurance, credit cards and a recently launched Personal Finance Management app.

The London based Sidley Private Equity team comprised partners Erik Dahl, Fatema Orjela and Oliver Currall and associates Adam Runcorn, Jason Pegnall and Priya Rupal. The team also included partner Ken Daly and associate Rosanna Connolly (Competition).
