International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW“) has advised Capital Stage, Germany’s largest independent solar park operator listed on the SDAX of the Deutsche Börse, on the acquisition of two Italian solar parks with a total capacity of 11 MWp in the Piedmont region of northern Italy from a leading industrial group.
This transaction represents the first tranche of a larger investment process which will be completed with the acquisition of two additional solar parks in the provinces of Alessandria and Cuneo, also in Piedmont.
The total investment volume of the acquisition, including project debt, amounts to circa € 65.4m.
The Rome-based WFW corporate team advising Capital Stage was led by partner Tiziana Manenti, assisted by counsel Luca Sfrecola and associates Cristina Betti and Giovanni Incardona. In the preliminary phase of the transaction, the team advised on both the financial aspects and on all issues related to the takeover of existing contracts. The team also advised on the authorisation, regulatory and real estate and, subsequently, contractual and negotiation aspects of the transaction.
