WFW advises bank syndicate on D’Alesio restructuring

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW“) has successfully advised a syndicate of banks, including Crédit Agricole, BNL, MPS, Banca Popolare di Vicenza, Banco Popolare, Cassa di Risparmio di Volterra, UniCredit, Carige and Cassa di Risparmio di San Miniato, on the negotiation and subscription to the Art. 67 restructuring agreement of the D’Alesio Group companies Dalmare Spa, Costieri D’Alesio Spa, and Ditta Gaetano D’Alesio di Antonio e Nello D’Alesio Sas.

D’Alesio Group is a major Italian maritime company, founded more than seventy years ago, focused on maritime, shipping and associated services. The group is best known today for its fleet of modern tankers and its harbour logistics expertise.

The WFW team advising D’Alesio was led by partner Furio Samela, assisted by senior associate Michele Autuori and associates Emanuele Caretti, Antonella Barbarito and Beatrice D’Amato. London partner Patrick Kirkby advised on the English law aspects of transaction.

Lazard acted as financial adviser and VSL Venice Shipping and Logistics S.p.A. acted as industrial adviser.
