Eversheds advised the American engineering company Parker Hannifin in the acquisition of the German company Jäger Automobil-Technik GmbH and the Polish company Jäger Automotive Polska Sp. z.o.o. Wierzbowski Eversheds advised the client with the Polish aspects of the transaction.

With the acquisition on July 1st, 2016, the companies will be integrated into Parker's Prädifa Technology Division, part of the Parker Engineered Materials Group. The acquisition strengthens the company’s successful positioning in the automotive end market and enables better service to Jäger’s global OEM clients as a result of Parker’s international network.

With annual sales of approximately 13 billion USD in the fiscal year 2015, Parker Hannifin is the global leader in the motion and control technology industry. Jäger Automobil-Technik GmbH has approximately 250 employees who produce rubber and plastic products for vehicle construction at two German locations (Osterode und Hildesheim), and one Polish site (Gryfino). The companies have a long-standing business relationship which is strengthened by the acquisition.

Parker Hannifin was advised by an Eversheds‘ team led by Holger Holle (Counsel at the Munich office). The Polish office supported the client with the Polish aspects of the transaction such as pre-sale restructuring and purchase  of shares.
