Linklaters advises Panasonic on the acquisition of OpenSynergy

Linklaters advised Panasonic Corporation on the acquisition of all shares in the German software company OpenSynergy GmbH. The group of sellers includes, amongst others, the company founders, the management and venture capital firms. The transaction makes OpenSynergy a subsidiary of Panasonic.

OpenSynergy was founded in 2007. The company is based in Berlin and has further offices in Munich and the United States. The high-tech company specialises in embedded automotive software for cockpit solutions.

Panasonic Corporation is a worldwide leader in the development and production of electronic technologies and solutions for clients in the consumer electronics, housing, automotive, enterprise solutions and device industries. The company, founded in 1918 and based in Kadoma City, Osaka, has 474 subsidiaries and 94 affiliates all over the world.
