GSK Stockmann + Kollegen advised the Diringer & Scheidel Group on the sale of Mannheims’ new city quarter Q 6 Q 7 by way of a share deal. This project is the largest ever in the company’s history of Diringer & Scheidel and at the same time one of the largest and most important inner-city projects in Mannheim during the last few decades. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
The building complex which is named after the squares Q 6 and Q 7 and situated in Mannheim’s city centre, comprises an area of approx. 16,000 sqm and offers about 60,000 sqm rental area. Therefore, this project is one of the largest inner-city shopping-center-projects in Germany. The city quarter’s opening is planned for 29 September 2016. It offers a mix between residential living, hotel, retail, restaurants, surgery and office spaces. The anchor tenants include Primark, Superdry, Calvin Klein and REWE as well as the international Radisson Blu Hotel, Mannheim of category 4 stars superior. Further, the property will be complemented with a three-story parking garage with more than 1,376 parking spaces.
Even before its completion, the project received the DGNB silver pre-certificate.
Seller and project developer is the local Diringer & Scheidel Group. BMO Real Estate Partners has acquired the project development by way of a share deal within a club deal for a special real estate AIF.
