Pact Group Holdings Ltd acquires Australian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers

07 Sep 2016

Baker & McKenzie advised Pact Group Holdings Ltd (‘APM’ ASX: PGH) in relation to its entry into an agreement to acquire specialty co-manufacturer, Australian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Pty Ltd (‘APM’), for A$90 million.

Established in 2002, APM is one of the largest providers of manufacturing and packaging services for nutraceuticals in Australia.  APM provides a complete manufacturing and packaging service for tablets, capsules and powdered products.

The acquisition of APM is a further step in Pact’s strategy to expand in specialised co-manufacturing operations.  It compliments and extends Pact's existing position in co-manufacturing established through the successful acquisition of Jalco in September 2015, in which Baker & McKenzie also acted for Pact.

Baker & McKenzie lead partner on the deal, Simon De Young stated:

" This is a very significant acquisition for Pact as it enchances Pact's established position in co-manufacturing and its broader specialty packaging business.  We are delighted to be able to assist in the continued growth of Pact through our involvement in this transaction."

Simon was assisted by senior associate, Tyson May, in advising Pact on the transaction.
