Ashurst advises on Micro Focus International plc's $8.8 billion merger with the Software Business Segment of Hewlett Packard Enterprise

Ashurst is advising J.P. Morgan Cazenove ("JPMC") on the merger between Micro Focus International plc ("Micro Focus") and Hewlett Packard Enterprise's software business segment ("HPE Software"). JPMC is acting as lead financial adviser and sole sponsor to Micro Focus in relation to the transaction, which is a reverse takeover of Micro Focus for the purposes of the UK Listing Rules.

Micro Focus is a global infrastructure software business with a listing on the premium segment of the Official List. HPE Software is a leading global infrastructure software provider offering a broad range of software, with over 50,000 customers, including 94 of the Fortune 100 companies and approximately 5,000 partners.  The transaction has an implied enterprise value of $8.8 billion.
