King & Wood Mallesons ( KWM ) has provided legal advice to Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) and its DBAG Fund VI on the acquisition of the German medical engineering company Polytech Health & Aesthetics GmbH (Polytech). The signed transaction is still subject to regulatory approval.
The listed DBAG and the funds initiated and advised by DBAG invest in well-positioned, medium-sized companies which have a promising potential for development.
Pursuant to the transaction, DBAG acquires approximately 18 percent and the DBAG Fund VI approximately 76 percent of Polytech. The remaining shares are acquired by the company's management.
Polytech headquartered in Dieburg, Germany, is a European leader in developing and producing high quality silicone implants. As the only German manufacturer of such products, Polytech’s focus is on breast implants used in reconstructive surgery after diseases as well as in aesthetic plastic surgery.
The KWM team maintains a longstanding client relationship with DBAG, which is once again demonstrated by this successful transaction.
