Dentons advised Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation on its recent purchase of all issued and outstanding shares of Bankers Petroleum Ltd. by way of statutory plan of arrangement with a transaction value of approximately CA$725 million. September 29, 2016 marked the closing of the deal.
Geo-Jade is one of the largest independent exploration and production companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The company has made successful oil and gas investments worldwide with its main assets located in Central Asia, North America and China. Bankers Petroleum Ltd. is a Canadian-based oil and gas exploration and production company, focused on developing large oil and gas reserves in Albania and Eastern Europe.
