Fragrance Resources' owners sells to IFF

09 Nov 2016

Baker & McKenzie advised the owners of Fragrance Resources, an internationally active fragrance producer with operating units in Germany, the USA, France and China, on the sale of the company. The buyer was the US-listed perfume producer IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances), based in New York. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The transaction is still subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities and is expected to be completed in January 2017.

Baker advised the seller's side of the transaction with a transnational team lead from Germany.

"The purchased shares are based in Germany, the USA and France, which was a particular challenge for the negotiations. We were able to accompany our client effectively with an international team, "commented Dr. Heiko Gotsche, the lead partner at Baker & McKenzie.
