The Swedish IT and broadcast infrastructure provider, Teracom Group AB, today announced the sale of Boxer TV in Denmark to the Danish energy and telecommunications group SE (previously Syd Energi).
The sale underlines Teracom’s strategy to focus on its core business within network and transmission services. Earlier this year, Teracom sold Boxer TV in Sweden to the Swedish Com Hem Group. After the sale to SE, Boxer TV Denmark will continue to use Teracom’s network services.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed during 2017.
Boxer TV is a supplier of digital TV distributed through the nationwide ground based broadcasting network. Boxer TV is currently among the largest TV providers with approximately 280,000 customers.
Teracom Group AB is a broadcast provider that plans, establishes and operates nationwide IT and broadcast infrastructure. Teracom is owned by the Swedish State and has approx. 700 employees. In 2015, Teracom had a turnover of approximately SEK 4bn.
SE is an energy and telecommunications group, which supplies and provides electricity, energy improvement, fibre broadband and cable TV to more than 700,000 customers. The SE group has 316,000 shareholders and approx. 1,500 employees.
