Squire Patton Boggs Advises Mobusi on the Acquisition of Lab Cave

14 Feb 2017

Squire Patton Boggs has advised Mobusi Mobile Advertising S.L., one of the leading mobile advertising companies in Spain, on the acquisition of Lab Cave, a company specialising in the development of video games.

With a turnover of €75 million in 2016 and more than 200 employees, Mobusi is the biggest mobile company in Spain operating in the performance and branding market. Founded in 2012 with its headquarters in Madrid, the company expanded internationally two years ago and now has a presence in Mexico, India and the US, enabling the company to provide a worldwide service.

Lab Cave was founded in Madrid in 2013 by brothers Fernando and Óscar García. With 75 million downloads all over the world and a strong presence in the powerful China, US and Japan markets, Lab Cave has positioned itself as one of the biggest mobile games development companies in Spain.

Fernando García, Lab Cave CEO, says: “Mobusi will be a great partner for us; we share a lot in common and together we’ll become even stronger. As well as this, although up until now all of our downloads have been organic, Mobusi will be key in helping us grow even more thanks to their experience in the sector.”

“With this action, we will be able to provide a great inventory under one very powerful brand that has already generated amazing numbers using various monetization techniques around the world”, states Alberto Cenalmor, founder and CEO of Mobusi.

The Squire Patton Boggs team advising Mobusi was led by Madrid partner Ramón Castilla, with support from Sandra Paoletti (corporate), Jose Aguilar Shea and Miguel Nasser (tax), Juan Nasarre (employment) and Cristina Fernández (real estate)
