Frankfurt, 13 February 2017 - International law firm McDermott Will & Emery advised Süd Beteiligungen GmbH (“SüdBG”) on the sale of its shareholdings in DBW Advance Fiber Technologies Group (“DBW”) to DMB Dr. Dieter Murmann Beteiliungsgesellscaft mbH.
SüdBG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Landesbank Baden Württemberg and supports growth-based small and medium sized enterprises with focused equity and equity-related investments with a particular emphasis on growth financing and succession planning. DBW develops and produces high quality fiber and metal products for the automobile industry as well as high temperature and corrosion resistant products, which are also used in the non-automotive sector. The Company, which has its headquarters in the city of Bovenden in Niedersachen, has approximately 870 employees worldwide.
This is the second successfully closed transaction under the leadership of Frankfurt partner Michael Cziesla since he came to McDermott in January. The team recently advised another investment house on the takeover of the majority of the holdings of Varicor S.A.S. and its wholly-owned subsidiary Varicor GmbH by the Geberit Group.
